Product Description

Saucony Grid Type A Racing Shoes. The Type A has become a favourite with runners and Triathletes around the world with it's unique blend of lightweight cushioning, distinctive styling and some great features. The full-mesh upper and drain-fast midsole and outsole make this a race day shoe for runners and triathletes.
  • Airmesh Upper - This material has a looser weave to promote circulation, having the dual effect of keeping the foot cool whilst also aiding evaporation as sweat is wicked from the skin.
  • EVA Midsole - A diverse midsole material which is durable, lightweight, and provides responsive cushioning.
  • i-Grid - A lattice of EVA pillars working just as standard grid does to dissipate shock and cushion impact. I-Grid is a super-lightweight cushioning system used in our lightest racing shoes.
  • HRC Strobel Board - The HRC added to the board gives an instant feel of comfort and cushioning.
  • Midfoot Bridge - A rigid material in the shank area of the midsole keeps the foot neutral in the midfoot phase of the gait cycle.
  • XT900 Rubber Forefoot - Saucony's carbon rubber outsole material which offers exceptional traction properties without sacrificing durability.
  • Blown and Carbon Rubber forefoot and rearfoot - Saucony's elite combination of blown rubber and carbon rubber. This lightweight, flexible outsole material provides added cushioning while maintaining durability.
This is a very popular racing shoe with competition runner's now in a very contemporary colour.

Suitable for: Neutral Runner

A bit more info on ... Shoes for neutral runners or underpronators

  • You'll need a cushioned shoe if you're a neutral runner or an underpronator.
  • Only 30% of runners fall into this category.
  • If you're a neutral runner, you'll have an efficient running gait and you're likely to have a normal arch.
  • If you're an underpronator, your foot doesn't pronate (roll inwards) enough during the gait cycle. You're likely to have a high, rigid arch.
  • Both of these types require a cushioned shoe which won't hinder the natural pronation of the foot.
