Product Details

Welcome the Spring/Summer 2013 range

The ASICS GEL-PHOENIX Running Shoes feature rearfoot and forefoot gel cushioing to attenuate shock during impact and toe-off phases to allow movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. A full length guidance line with flex grooves to decouple the tooling along the line of progression provides enhanced gait efficiency as you run.

An SpEVA midsole lasting material provides a soft but stable platform that improves bounce back characteristics while the Trusstic System reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe for a lightweight ride underfoot. A California slip last ensures increased stability and comfort while AHAR+ rubber is placed on high abrasion areas for improved durability and great traction underfoot.

Features

  • Full Length Guidance Line - Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
  • SpEVA Midsole Material - Employes SpEVA lasting material for a soft but stable platform that improves bounce back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown for a more comfortable and durable ride underfoot.
  • Dynamic DuoMax Support System - A dual density midsole system positioned to enhance support and stability, positioned sport specifically.
  • Trusstic System - Reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe for a lightweight ride.

ASICS-2.jpg

ASICS is a very technical brand that includes a lot of features from anything from their entry level shoes to maximum features in their top of the range ones.

Below is a summary to explain what these all mean and where they appear in the shoe.

Asics-nimbus-intro.jpg

Heel1.jpg

P.H.F. - PERSONAL HEEL FIT:

This is a special foam heel construction that is designed to give you a personal and more fitted feel around your heel to reduce the chance of slippage and irritation.

Heelclutch.jpg

HEEL CLUTCHING SYSTEM:

An external Pebax Heel Clutching System which works like an exoskeleton, providing support while clearing the heel area of a bulky internal structure. This innovation makes the shoe lighter and eliminates almost everything that might cause blisters or chaffing.

Eyeletslacing.jpg

DISCRETE EYELETS LACING SYSTEM:

Independently placed eyelets disburse lace tension, creating a customised fitting environment and enhanced upper comfort.

Gtxupper.jpg

GORE-TEX UPPER:

Waterproof and breathable upper designed to protect the foot during extreme weather conditions.

Asymemtrical1.jpg

ASYMMETRICAL LACING:

A lacing system that follows the curve on top of the foot in a natural way, to ensure a perfect fit and less friction.

Rhynoskin.jpg

RHYNOSKIN:

A moulded midsole component engineered for specific foot types to enhance guidance and fit.

Scotchlite.jpg

3M SCOTCHLITE:

This is a special material that enhances visibility in dark and low light conditions.

Biomorphic.jpg

BIOMORPHIC FIT:

The Biomorphic technology is incorporated into the upper where the areas of highest deformation are found. This ensures a better fit, improved comfort, less risk of injury and enhanced performance.

Antigraveltongue-2.jpg

ANTI GRAVEL TONGUE:

A special tongue construction that prevents clay entering the shoe.

Innerlocklacing.jpg

INNER LOCK LACING:

This lacing system provides trail walkers/runners with ankle support and stability. Enhanced support and protection from movement inside the shoe is provided by two straps. By lacing the shoe, the two straps wrap around the foot and provide a secured fit and support.

Lacepocket.jpg

LACE POCKET:

This is a feature especially designed for Nordic Walking, which will prevent your poles from becoming caught up in the shoe-laces.

Nanotechnology.jpg

NANO TECHNOLOGY:

This treatment on nano scale gives the fabric a water resistant finish without affecting the fabric's properties.

A moulded midsole component by ASICS that is engineered for specific foot types to enhance guidance and fit whilst running.

Solyte.jpg

SOLYTE MIDSOLE:

This cushioning material provides excellent lightweight cushioning for the runner. It provides shock absorption and excellent bounce back and durability.

Spacetrussic.jpg

This system creates a pocket between the Trusstic system and the midsole which allows for more efficiency when running.

Transitionsole.jpg

TRANSITION SOLE:

Triple density midsole to enhance guidance and cut back motion.

Speva.jpg

SPEVA:

This is a supreme midsole material that improves bounce-back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown when landing and taking off.

Trusstic.jpg

TRUSSTIC:

This component is under the midsole area which provides stability and helps to control torsion in the foot when running.

Comfordry.jpg

COMFORDRY SOCKLINER:

This insole for trainers helps to increase cushioning and create a cooler, drier, healthier shoe environment

Discretesole.jpg

DISCRETE SOLE (REARFOOT):

A unique sole construction that provides supreme load distribution, cushioning and guidance.

Discretesole-2.jpg

A unique sole construction that provides supreme load distribution, cushioning and guidance.

Igs.jpg

I.G.S. (IMPACT GUIDANCE SYSTEM):

The ASICS Impact Guidance System or I.G.S. is a technical shoe design philosophy that allows the athlete’s foot to perform in a more natural manner. ASICS high-tech I.G.S. shoes are constructed in a way that enhances natural “gait”.

Propulsionplate.jpg

PROPULSION PLATE:

The propulsion plate is a special hardened unit that has been placed in the forefoot for a more efficient propulsion phase.

Propulsiontrusstic.jpg

PROPULSION TRUSSTIC SYSTEM:

Genderspecifictrusstic.jpg

GENDER SPECIFIC SPACE TRUSSTIC:

Recognises the normal periodic changes in the shape of the woman's arch and provides for the controlled deformation of the arch into the space within the system.

Genderspecificcushioning.jpg

GENDER SPECIFIC FOREFOOT CUSHIONING:

A top layer of injected Solyte provides a cushioned platform feel in the forefoot. Women's models feature a lower density for improved cushioning and forefoot comfort.

Plus3.jpg
