How does MoGo work?
The new midsole material MoGo is an ingenious polymer structure that is more durable than EVA material, it offers a softer, more flexible running experience.
The bio-degradable unique midsole
As always, Brooks is a step ahead in innovative products. BioMoGo, the first fully bio-degradable midsole, sticks to the promise of the brand: BROOKS RUNS GREEN.
BROOKS DNA Always offers a perfect balance between shock absorption and energy feedback. The material itself is less of a solid more of an highly viscous liquid that behaves like millions of small elastic springs on a much smaller molecular level. The ground-breaking BROOKS DNA shock absorption technology immediately adjusts to the specific biomechanics, speed and weight of every runner.
BROOKS have thoroughly analysed a large number of runners and running styles in order to develop the special form of the DNA-elements. This way BROOKS found out where the pressure load of the sole is the greatest, and integrated the DNA -elements at these very spots.
HydroFlow - the very established cushioning system from Brooks
HydroFlow is a system of chambers sitting under the heel area of the midsole. The contained silicone-oil compound dampens the impact of the ground on the foot and offers optimal shock absorbtion and comfort. HydroFlow is used in all Brooks shoes.
How does Hydroflow work?
When pressure is applied to the central chamber, the liquid is displaced into the outer ducts. The central chamber decreases in volume accordingly and thereby dampens the impact. As the pressure on the chamber is decreased, the liquids retract back into it and are charged again for the next impact.
HPR High Performance Rubber
HPR is an abrasion-resistant rubber outsole compound that has higher durability and wears longer.
These midsole and outsole components are engineered to set the foot in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe-off, offering exceptional flexibility and an unrestricted forefoot ride.
DRB Diagonal Rollbar
A high density post at the medial arch is engineered for pronation control and creates a smoother transition from the midstance phase into the propulsion phase.
PDRB - Progressive Diagonal Rollbar
PDRB - Our dual density post is biomechanically engineered to allow for progressive pronation control and creates a smoother transition from the midstance phase into the propulsion phase.
Pivot - The stability element for uneven surfaces
The Pivot-Technology reduces the danger of losing contact with the surface on uneven ground.
How does Pivot work?
The two Pivot-posts in the sole are constructed to work separately, maintaining the parts of the shoe that are not in contact with the unevenness to maintain full contact with the surface. In such a situation, Pivot™ maintains optimal traction.
A shank-like thermoplastic device provides torsional rigidity to the midfoot, enhancing support while allowing the heel and forefoot to act independently.
PodTech - Podular Technology
PodTech: midsole and outsole components are engineered to set the foot in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe-off, offering exceptional flexibility and an unrestricted forefoot ride.

BRS - Ballistic Rock Shield
The BRS system has been introduced to reduce the point load pressure from stones, branches etc. A ballistic textile in the forefoot disperses this pressure, while still keeping the forefoot flexible for a terrain compliant ride.
Regular soles pass the pressure almost uncushioned straight through to the foot.
Brooks® Ballistic Rock Shield has been designed to disperse the energy on to a much larger area, causing the forefoot far less agitation.
A durable, energy-efficient midsole compound used as an insole board for even more cushioning and flexibility.
This midsole compound works in conjunction with HydroFlow and BioMoGo to progressively dampen the forces of energy that occur during the contact phase. It also increases the resilience under the midfoot, resulting in a more powerful propulsion.
