This Product Has A Video!

The Brooks Glycerin 11 is packed with a variety of new features to improve upon the previous models in the Glycerin series. The shoe is now engineered with a Caterpillar Crash Pad, a segmented pad located on the sole of the shoe. It delivers flexibility underfoot without sacrificing assurance, and creating a smooth laydown for a run with greater efficiency. Omni Grooves offer further flexibility alongside the Omega Flex Grooves, allowing the outsole to mimic a more natural style of motion to provide comfort and greater efficiency. The midfoot shank has been removed, optimising ground contact for an efficient, smooth transition. The upper of the Glycerin 11 is designed with an innovative 3D Fit print, a specifically designed overlay that gives the shoe structure and reduces weight, offering a supportive fit that doesn't weigh you down. A re-designed insole offers enhanced step-in comfort, and the lining of the shoe is now both quick-drying and element protected.

This shoe also retains the great features of the previous models. A high-density post situated at the medial arch of the foot ensures that you don't overpronate when you run for a smoother ride.

The shoe also features a Full Length Adaptable Brooks BIOMOGO DNA midsole that provides a superbly customized ride for runners, adapting to your personal foot movements to give you optimal cushioning and support in the three key areas of the foot, heelstrike, midfoot and forefoot takeoff.

Featuring OMEGA Flex Grooves underfoot, the shoe offers improved traction as well as greater flexibility, as the grooves open to match your stride and offers stability when at rest.

  • Adaptable MoGo DNA Midsole - Provides custom cushioning for a plush contact and smooth transition from heel to toe.
  • ***UPDATED*** Tuned Density Midsole - Providing just the right amount of cushioning on a specific area.
  • Full-Length S-257 Last - Specifically designed board which offers enhanced step-in comfort.
  • ***UPDATED*** Omni Grooves - Working with the Omega Flex Grooves, allowing the outsole to bend and shape naturally.
  • ***UPDATED*** Soft Blown Rubber Forefoot - Promotes an efficient stride whilst boosting cushioning.
  • ***UPDATED*** 3D Fit Print - Overlays that create structure and reduce weight, for a supportive, light and comfortable fit.
  • ***UPDATED*** Profile Sockliner - A removable sockliner that provides extra comfort with its soft material.
  • ***UPDATED*** Moisture-Managing Element Linings - A quick-drying lining, designed for weather protection.
  • OMEGA Flex Grooves - This innovation enhances the flexibility of the midsole and provides an effortless forefoot ride while still offering great cushioning and midsole integrity. The unique shape of an Omega Flex Groove allows it to flex dynamically without compromising cushioning. When at rest, it supports the shoe. When it’s flexing, the groove opens up to allow greater flexibility.
  • BioMoGo Sockliner - Removable sockliner which offers enhanced cushioning and is environmentally friendly.
  • ***UPDATED*** Caterpillar Crash Pad - Segmented pad located on the sole of the shoe. It delivers flexibility underfoot without sacrificing assurance.
  • DRB Accel - A high density post at the medial arch is engineered for pronation control and creates a smoother transition from the midstance phase into the propulsion phase.
  • Engineered Stable Pod Construction - A system of 'pods' in the midsole and outsole enabling the shoe to bend and flex more naturally while still supporting the foot at its most critical points.
  • HPR Plus - A higher durability, abrasion-resistant rubber outsole compound that wears longer.
  • Moisture-Managing Element Mesh - Great breathability and provide good air flow to keep your feet cool and dry.
  • Synthetic Overlay Materials - For added comfort, extra flexibility and acts as an upper support for your feet.
  • Weight: 334 Grams

MOGO

The midsole with unique dampening properties. Good fit, comfort and long-lasting cushioning! The ground breaking midsole material MoGo is loved by all runners.

How does MoGo work?

The new midsole material MoGo is an ingenious polymer structure that is more durable than EVA material, it offers a softer, more flexible running experience.

Mogodiagram.jpg

Brooks2.jpg

BIOMOGO

The bio-degradable unique midsole

As always, Brooks is a step ahead in innovative products. BioMoGo, the first fully bio-degradable midsole, sticks to the promise of the brand: BROOKS RUNS GREEN.

Dna.jpg

DNA

BROOKS DNA Always offers a perfect balance between shock absorption and energy feedback. The material itself is less of a solid more of an highly viscous liquid that behaves like millions of small elastic springs on a much smaller molecular level. The ground-breaking BROOKS DNA shock absorption technology immediately adjusts to the specific biomechanics, speed and weight of every runner.

BROOKS have thoroughly analysed a large number of runners and running styles in order to develop the special form of the DNA-elements. This way BROOKS found out where the pressure load of the sole is the greatest, and integrated the DNA -elements at these very spots.

Hydro.jpg

Hydroflow

HydroFlow - the very established cushioning system from Brooks

HydroFlow is a system of chambers sitting under the heel area of the midsole. The contained silicone-oil compound dampens the impact of the ground on the foot and offers optimal shock absorbtion and comfort. HydroFlow is used in all Brooks shoes.

How does Hydroflow work?

When pressure is applied to the central chamber, the liquid is displaced into the outer ducts. The central chamber decreases in volume accordingly and thereby dampens the impact. As the pressure on the chamber is decreased, the liquids retract back into it and are charged again for the next impact.

Hpr1.jpg

HPR

HPR High Performance Rubber

HPR is an abrasion-resistant rubber outsole compound that has higher durability and wears longer.

Hpr3.jpg

HPR GREEN

These midsole and outsole components are engineered to set the foot in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe-off, offering exceptional flexibility and an unrestricted forefoot ride.

Drb.jpg

DRB

DRB Diagonal Rollbar

A high density post at the medial arch is engineered for pronation control and creates a smoother transition from the midstance phase into the propulsion phase.

Pdrb.jpg

PDRB

PDRB - Progressive Diagonal Rollbar

PDRB - Our dual density post is biomechanically engineered to allow for progressive pronation control and creates a smoother transition from the midstance phase into the propulsion phase.

Pivot.jpg

PIVOT

Pivot - The stability element for uneven surfaces

The Pivot-Technology reduces the danger of losing contact with the surface on uneven ground.

How does Pivot work?

The two Pivot-posts in the sole are constructed to work separately, maintaining the parts of the shoe that are not in contact with the unevenness to maintain full contact with the surface. In such a situation, Pivot™ maintains optimal traction.

Accel2.jpg

DRB Accel

DRB Accel

A shank-like thermoplastic device provides torsional rigidity to the midfoot, enhancing support while allowing the heel and forefoot to act independently.

Podtech.jpg

Podtech

PodTech - Podular Technology

PodTech: midsole and outsole components are engineered to set the foot in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe-off, offering exceptional flexibility and an unrestricted forefoot ride.

Element1.jpg

Element

Element is an upper technology featuring superior microfibre construction to provide weather protection in a light, supple and quiet fabric that doesn’t sacrifice breathability, durability and comfort

BRS1.jpg

BRS - Ballistic Rock Shield

The BRS system has been introduced to reduce the point load pressure from stones, branches etc. A ballistic textile in the forefoot disperses this pressure, while still keeping the forefoot flexible for a terrain compliant ride.

Regular soles pass the pressure almost uncushioned straight through to the foot.

Brooks® Ballistic Rock Shield has been designed to disperse the energy on to a much larger area, causing the forefoot far less agitation.

BRS4.jpg

Cushsole.jpg

S-257 Cushsole

A durable, energy-efficient midsole compound used as an insole board for even more cushioning and flexibility.

E-fusion.jpg

e-Fusion

This midsole compound works in conjunction with HydroFlow and BioMoGo to progressively dampen the forces of energy that occur during the contact phase. It also increases the resilience under the midfoot, resulting in a more powerful propulsion.
