Designed for the moderate to experienced trail runner the Gram AM II trail shoe delivers serious adaptable traction, in a lightweight waterproof, durable embodiment that will help push you through the evolving trail landscape.
The upper has been constructed to save weight and protect against what nature can throw your way. The minimal stitch count ensures a smooth and clean surface that reduces on bulk and subsequent weight. This makes for a lightweight upper that wont attract dirt or debris. Offering further protection the Hydrophobic fabrics utilised mean the upper wont absorb water and damp, which keeps the foot dry, whilst also serving to keep weight down.
Utilising a Gore-Tex® extended lining the shoe delivers superior protection against water saturation and penetration, whilst intelligently allowing air to permeate the shoe. Offering excellent water-repellent and temperature management.
The lightweight midsole infuses Solyte technology, again to save on weight as Solyte is one of the lightest midsole compounds on the market. It offers superb cushioning and comfortable feel underneath the foot throughout the run.
The true party piece of the Gram XC II though is its outsole. The unique design features rice husk embedded within the rubber, imbuing the natural control of the wet grip traction with the benefits of rice husk. The unison of these two materials creates grip unlike any other, the husks are ground and embedded within the main compound of the outsole with the intention of absorbing water and offering an edge in grip, so prepare to demolish your wet weather struggles.
Ensuring that the foot has the most possible grip to make use of its intelligent traction capabilities, the shoe features cross section lugs, designed to allow greater traction, so you can adapts to the ever changing terrain and dominate.

The human body prefers to maintain a certain temperature in the core of the body. The optimum temperature is 37 +/- 0.5° and we are sensitive to temperature deviations. The body’s microclimate is a thin layer (>1 mm) of air closest to the skin where we want the temperature to be 32°C - 35°C.
The body’s thermostat is located in the brain and it gets help from the bloodstream and nerves in our skin to regulate the temperature and keep it within the comfort zone. The human body is only able to produce heat; but can only cool down by producing sweat. When we sweat moisture exudes from the skin where it evaporates, thus leading heat away.
We use clothes to protect the body’s microclimate, and the best way to dress in order to keep the temperature within the comfort zone is to follow the layer on layer principle.
GORE-TEX™ fabrics consistently deliver a balance of waterproofing, breathability and long lasting durability. All shell garments made from Gore-Tex materials are rigorously tested to ensure that they will live up to the 'Guaranteed to keep you dry' promise.

The membrane is combined with different face fabrics and backer to deliver differing degrees of stretch, warmth and protection.

Polygiene® is a unique natural silver salt finishing process that evenly distributes recycled silver salts throughout the garment, eliminating odours. Polygiene® works so well against odours because it inhibits bacterial growth instead of just covering the smell like most like most alternatives. Apart from its odour-control function, the Polygiene® technology has additional benefits. By inhibiting bacterial growth, it makes the material more hygienic and prolongs the life of the garment.
