Minimalist & Barefoot Running
Since the 1960s athletes have been running barefoot to strengthen muscles in the feet and legs and help increase speed. Not strictly a shoe-less sport, there are various shoe models specifically designed for barefoot running so whether you are new to it or have nailed your barefoot running technique, you have come to the right place for your barefoot running shoes. We stock a wide range of minimalist shoes from partly cushioned to those which feel almost-invisible.
Going from padded, structured running shoes to minimalistic ones is quite a physical change for your feet so it is essential that you train the foot and leg muscles to run in minimalist shoes gradually. Due to the design of barefoot running shoes we recommend that you alternate; training in barefoot shoes whilst running in your specialised running shoes.
