Leather Upper

Designed using Gold-rated split-skin leather, the Horizon Hike Mid have a super durable upper to prepare you for difficult adventures. This long-lasting, reliable material protects you from bumps, bashes and scrapes on hiking trails and with a breathable structure, they prevent you from overheating when things get intense. The quick-drying properties repel moisture and sweat for a dry sensation, stopping uncomfortable build-up during tough periods. A waterproof, insulated GORE-TEX liner ensures a combination of warmth and waterproof protection for optimal comfort in chilly, changing weather. Perfect for the winter and autumn months, the warm hikers keep you confident on challenging hikes, with the warmth and protection you need to keep you comfortable. A mid-height design with a cushioned collar protects your ankles and sits soft against your skin to prevent irritation, whilst helping to stop dirt and debris from entering. Full rubber randing adds durability and stops damage being caused to the shoes from scrapes on trail surfaces. The heel and tongue pull loops assist with an easy on and off, and the traditional laces help to get the best possible fit, reducing in-shoe slipping from causing distractions.

EVA Midsole

For comfort on long journeys, a traditional EVA midsole adds an extra layer of soft cushioning. The plush foam absorbs shocks to reduce strain, injury or discomfort on tough journeys, also helping to prevent discomfort on rocky and rough terrain. The EVA compound absorbs the energy created from heel striking and expels it through your next step, where it can be used to catapult you forward.

Vibram Outsole with IceTrek Rubber

Stay in control of your hike, maintain confidence, and stay focused. The Horizon Hike utilises the best of the best: a Vibram Rubber Outsole providing you with exceptional durability, grip and traction across a variety of surfaces. With long-lasting reliability, the Vibram rubber features an IcreTrek compound for improved grip on icy, cold and snowy surfaces. The softness of the rubber allows the compound to adhere to smooth surfaces and support aggressive dras to improve traction. Additionally, the sole design utilises small pointed lugs and large supporting surfaces to allow confident movement.
