ASICS Gel-Blade 8 Court Shoes

The GEL-BLADE 8 court shoe creates good support for squash and badminton players engaging in multi-directional movements. Practical for diagonal court coverage, this shoe helps you push your body and mind to new boundaries.

Mesh Upper

The upper of the Gel-Blade 8 is made from a mesh construction that allows feet to breathe. Micro-perforations in the fabric encourage heat and vapour to escape whilst simultaneously allowing fresh air to flow in and circulate. No-sew overlays provide strength and stability whilst remaining flexible, and help to provide that locked-in feeling. The raised heel collar height improves stability and keeps the foot from slipping out of the shoe, and the traditional lacing system anchors the shoe to the foot for yet greater stability and control.

GEL Technology Midsole

The midsole of the Gel-Blade 8 will provide you with comfort, protection and responsiveness. The midsole is extremely springy, helping every step feel extremely comfortable. Creating excellent comfort, the GEL technology cushioning unit in the heel is functional for providing better shock absorption, reducing the impact and weight placed on the knees, ankles and other joints. Additionally, every step you take when running (or making short, sharp movements) will be enhanced by the responsive midsole, providing an added spring in your step to help you push on past your opponents. For improved stability, the midsole uses ASIC's developed Trusstic System. This moulded component will work to control torsion, helping you to change direction at speed without fear of twisting or causing damage to the shoe or your foot.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Grip and control on the court are guaranteed with the durable rubber outsole. Able to form a solid bond with the court surface, will keep you firmly in charge as you will be able to grip yourself into a solid position. The rubber is also anti-abrasion, meaning that the shape and definition of the outsole will be retained. As well as this, it can create a strong bond with any ground beneath it, helping you stay in full control. This will improve the long-term functionality of the shoe. The Gel-Blade 8 is equipped with X GUIDANCE technology for improved diagonal court coverage. This function increases flexibility and allows you to move more easily on the court.
