Kookaburra Team Hockey Shoes

Own the hockey pitch with the Kookaburra Team Hockey Shoes. With a dynamic knitted upper, cage protection technology and supreme shock absorption, gain an advantage on your opponent to gain that extra yard on them.

Knitted Upper

The stylish knitted upper makes the shoe look good and feel extremely comfortable. Breathable and lightweight, air can pass through the material to keep the feet feeling ventilated. Moisture from sweat is wicked away, meaning that the feet are left feeling dry and fresh, whilst the weight of the shoe is also reduced by this. For further reduction of moisture entering, the upper is latex covered. This also increases the durability, as the shoe will not be damaged by being exposed to water. The sturdy cage-like structure means that the shoe retains its shape and strength, so when balls or sticks collide with it the foot and shoe is protected. Thicker material and a stitched section cover the toes for further protection. Up the foot laces ensure that you will always find the perfect fit. Transporting the shoes around is easy and hassle-free with heel loops.

Advanced EVA Midsole

The midsole is designed to protect high-impact areas. The heel and forefoot are particularly protected by the EVA midsole, which is able to absorb shocks from short sharp bursts of pace. This means that all types of movement are supported, useful for unpredictable phases of play where the ball is bouncing all over the place. The energy created is also recycled as rebound, giving you an extra boost. Within the shoe, there is a lightweight insole. This improves comfort, whilst also offering further support to the heel and front of the foot by reducing shockwaves.

Durable Outsole

The outsole used on the shoe is an acclaimed hockey specific outsole. This ensures that you will stay in full control, stabilising the feet and the legs. Deep lugs dig into the ground, acting as a firm base to push off from when setting off, gripping the ground when braking, and assisting with changes of direction. With a firm feel, this also makes the shoe a lot more durable, ready to be put to the test.

About Kookaburra

Kookaburra, named after the company founder AG Thompson's pet Kookaburra 'Jacky', a member of the Australian Kingfisher family, is an Australian sports equipment company, specialising in cricket and field hockey equipment (including balls). The company notably manufactures the most widely used brand of ball used in Test Cricket, limited over cricket, and international hockey tournaments.

Kookaburra Sport was established in 1890, is a 100% Australian family owned and operated global business, trading under the brand name Kookaburra in both cricket and hockey internationally, with offices in Australia (Head Office), India, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Kookaburra predominantly sells its products via existing retailers, as well as cricket and hockey balls to Leagues and Associations in over 50 countries worldwide.

For the first 100 years, Kookaburra Sport traded as AG Thompson Pty Ltd, and a number of the Thompson family members are still actively involved in the daily running of the business. Kookaburra Sport employs over 150 employees worldwide as the business continues to grow successfully.

The Kookaburra name is synonymous with Australian sport and has established itself as the No. 1 Australian sports brand worldwide.
