The bellows, closed cell foam tongue prevents moisture and debris from entering the shoe, whilst a protective rubber toe cap offers protection against rocks and loose terrain. <p> The midsole has been constructed using different technologies to ensure long-lasting comfort and increased cushioning. EVA within the midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also help to offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. Rest your feet on an ECO blended, EVA contoured footbed with organic odour control. Underfoot cushioning with each step you take. Odour control means offensive smells are kept at bay and your shoes stay fresh for longer. A moulded nylon arch shank provides you with lightweight support and stability; reducing the load sustained by the feet and calves over the course of an ascent. Completing the midsole is an air cushion which provides shock absorption and stability. The air cushion features in the heel to reduce stress on the foot with each step; this, in turn, lesses the impact during heel strikes and helps to cradle the heel to maintain proper alignment.</p>
