Mizuno Wave Sonic Women's Running Shoes

The Wave Sonic generates enormous amounts of energy, delivering explosive running in a contemporary style. Easy and lightweight, the racing tongue construction ensures a perfect fit for no compromise runs.

Breathable AirMesh Upper

Ensure your feet stay cool, dry and comfortable as you run thanks to the breathable mesh upper. The mesh works to actively and efficiently wick away sweat and moisture which is built up during exercise. Once the sweat and moisture are wicked away it is transported away from your feet to leave them free of discomfort and distraction. Additionally, the DynamotionFit system that is added uses highly advanced motion capture and biomechanics technology. Mizuno has developed a design blueprint to engineer shoes that work with your foot throughout the gait cycle. A racing tongue construction ensures a perfect fit for no compromise runs while the newly developed ESS Wave plate placed in the midfoot delivers a responsive running experience for dynamic, uptempo training.

Wave Midsole

Mizuno Wave is a unique technology that provides both cushioning and stability and can be engineered for all types of runners. The cushioning and comfort helps when running to provide your feet with protection for landing, responsiveness and shock absorption. U4ic is a compound that rides and cushions like Mizuno's AP+ midsole but is approximately 30% lighter without any loss of comfort or performance.

X10 Rubber Outsole

The most durable carbon rubber is used in the outsole. This is used to allow longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike.

About Mizuno

Mizuno was founded in 1906 as Mizuno Brothers Ltd by Rihachi Mizuno and his younger brother Rizo, in Osaka. The shop sold western sundries, including baseballs, and then in 1907 began to sell order-made athletic wear. In 1910 the shop moved to Umeda Shinmichi and its name was changed to Mizuno Shop. In 1913 the firm began to manufacture baseballs and gloves. In 1933 Mizuno presented Star Line, the first Japanese made golf clubs. By 1935 its golf club showroom was the world's largest.

In 1941 the company name was changed to Mizuno Co., Ltd, and has remained the same since. The first American factory was established in Los Angeles, under the denomination American Mizuno in 1961.

Today, Mizuno is a global corporation which makes a wide variety of sports equipment and sportswear, for golf, tennis, baseball, volleyball, football, running, rugby, skiing, cycling, judo, table tennis, badminton, boxing and athletics.
