Mizuno Wave Stream 2 Running Shoes

Streamline your performance. This neutral shoe is designed with a rich engineered mesh and soft inner materials - giving you incredible comfort and contemporary style.

AIRmesh Upper

Constructed using an AIRmesh upper, the Wave Stream 2 provides the utmost in breathability and comfort. Ensuring a constant airflow, the newly designed upper keeps you cooler and drier for longer, especially during tough runs. The engineered mesh ensure you remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. With Mizuno's integrated DynamotionFit technology, the Wave Inspire 15 is tailored to fit like a glove, it works to adapt to the gait cycle allowing for a more personalised fit and feel as you strive for new pb's. A no-sew synthetic overlay construction adds stability and structural integrity to the upper, advancing and interlocking with the laces providing a more tighter and snugger fit. The overlays also add durability to the mesh, allowing them to last longer while you put in the heavy miles. A padded tongue, heel and collar provide superb cushioning in those areas to ease chafing and skin irritation.

Mizuno Wave Technology Midsole

Keeping the shoes soft but stable is Mizuno's priority. Mizuno has developed the Mizuno Wave which is an original technology that provides the right amount of cushioning and stability your body needs. The Mizuno Wave provides flexibility in one direction and support in the other while absorbing the shock without compromising on the comfort or cushioning. The initial shock is then transferred back to guide athletes to the next movement. The Mizuno Wave prevents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilise and guide the foot forward. In addition, the midsole features Smoothride and U4icX compounds that both make a difference when out running and competing. The smoothride is an engineering approach to minimise the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible. The U4icX Compound is a light evolutionary midsole that delivers a more comfortable and cushioned ride with higher rebound properties, thus fulfilling the most comfortable energised ride.

X10 Outsole

The midsole and outsole technologies work together with SmoothRide technology to provide a fluid, rocking-chair-like transition. As the foot hits the ground, SmoothRide Engineering kicks in with heel flex grooves promoting a natural back-to-front movement. The forefoot flex grooves and flex controllers then work together to continue the smooth forward motion resulting in an efficient fluid motion that allows runners to harness their power. The outsole is made with X10 which is the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again.
