Mizuno Wave Rider 22 Women's Running Shoes

Designed to keep comfort and cushioning levels up, and temperature levels down, the Wave Rider 22 has a dual compound midsole constructed from U4icX and U4ic, and Cloudwave cushioning technology for a shoe that's secure, and just waiting to spring into action. And, with a fully breathable, lightweight mesh upper, your feet won't be over-heating as you're over-taking.

Dynamotion Fit Upper

Dynamotion Fit uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. AIRmesh is used to increase airflow, its perforations creating a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Dynamotion Fit is all about creating a shoe that works with your foot through the design and materials used to create it. The Stretch Mesh eliminates the bunching and pulling that can cause discomfort and even blisters, especially at toe-off. Together, the features of Dynamotion Fit create a shoe that gets out of your way, so you can become the best runner you can be. A premium insock lies atop lightweight midsole to supply an extra, removable, layer of comfort and cushioning.

Cloudwave Midsole

A new cloud-like shaped WAVE PLATE resides underfoot. It supplies softer landings, strengthened rebounds, and firm stability, whilst ensuring smooth transitions through to midstance. Manufactured from Pebax Rnew, the Wave's sustainable construction spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving concrete, whilst answering to the environmental awareness of its consumers. Performance isn't compromised though, you still get exceptional lightness, spring-back, impact resistance and improved flex fatigue resistance. A unique U4ic midsole platform encases the Wave plate to increase the level of comfort and performance provided by the Wave Rider 22, without sacrificing its stable nature. It is an engineered polymer that is light, responsive and cushioned, and it delivers you these properties, kilometre after kilometre, day after day. Then, beneath the wave plate and under the heel, a layer of U4icX foam exists to add yet another dollop of premium underfoot softness and impact protection.

X10 Outsole

Stay cool and dry as you pound the pavements. Mizuno Intercool solves the problem of heat and humidity build-up in a running shoe. It does this by incorporating a full-length ventilation system in the sole of the shoe that removes heat and humidity from the foot through a system of ventilation channels, to keep flagging feet happy on longer distance days. Durability and traction arrive in the form of an X10 outsole. The extremely substantial carbon rubber allows for longer wear in high impact areas and provides more traction at the heel strike so you can run hard, knowing that your shoes can handle the heat. Mizuno integrates their Smoothride technology to minimise the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible. Smoothride begins working the moment your foot touches the ground; flex Grooves adorn the outsole to promote natural movement from the heel to the forefoot, initiating that rocking-chair motion for fluid, uninhibited strides. The Wave Rider 22, a true all-rounder; suitable for pace runs, long distances, as well as daily training, delivering a supreme level of cushioning to the neutral runner.
