Mizuno Wave Shadow 3 Running Shoes

Glide along the road with a newly constructed upper that wraps your foot like a slipper, creating a stress-free fit. Through the combination of the innovative upper and the sole created with midfoot streakers in mind, this shoe will bring you both speed and comfort.

AIRmesh Upper

Constructed using an AIRmesh upper, the Wave Shadow 3 provides the utmost in breathability and comfort. Lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort, the mesh acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. Mizuno's DynamotionFit technology has also been used within the upper to provide a tailored, glove-like fit. The DynamotionFit system uses motion capture and biomechanics technology to bring you an upper thats designed to work with your foot through the gait cycle. Working in tandem with DynamotionFit is the stress-free upper construction which wraps around the foot to bring you the right amount of support for all-day comfort and an irritation-free fit. Completing the upper is a lacing system which works to lock down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Mizuno Wave Midsole

Mizuno's wave technology is embedded into the midsole to provide flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising the comfort or cushioning. Once the shock has been absorbed the energy from that is harnessed and is then transferred to the forefoot to then push you off and guide you onto the next movement. The wave prevents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilise and guide the foot forward. AP+ has also been used within the midsole to ensure high levels of comfort and rebound. AP+ guarantees an amazing ride providing cushioning and comfort levels as well as high rebound properties so you can reach the next mile with ease. For additional comfort, the unique compound, U4ic is used in the midsole which rides and cushions like Mizuno's AP+ midsole but is approximately 30% lighter without any loss of comfort or performance. Wave technology and U4ic work together to ensure comfort underfoot whilst SmoothRide technology works to provide added stability. SmoothRide is an engineered approach to minimise the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, which makes the ride smooth and enjoyable. Completing the upper is a removable premium insock which increases underfoot cushioning and cushioning.

X10 Outsole

The outsole is made with X10 which is the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The extremely substantial carbon rubber allows for longer wear in high impact areas and provides more traction at the heel strike so you can run hard, knowing that your shoes can handle the heat. Additionally, Zigzag grooves have been used within the forefoot to provide a responsive toe-off and added traction. The flex Grooves adorn the outsole to promote natural movement from the heel to the forefoot, initiating that rocking-chair motion for fluid, uninhibited strides. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again.
