Montane Prism Outdoor Jacket

Used and abused by Mountain Rescue teams across the UK, the Prism is an essential piece of mountain clothing whatever the activity. Using 40g PrimaLoft SILVER ECO insulation throughout ensures that the Prism is warm yet lightweight enough to be worn on the move in cool.

The Montane Prism Outdoor Jacket is constructed with Pertex Microlight which is well balanced, providing lightweight weather protection whilst remaining durable and abrasion resistant. Its softness allows down and synthetic insulation to fully loft. Lined with PEAQ Synthetic, it provides extreme comfort next to the skin, high breathability and it is fast drying. Equipped with PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Eco which is used in a wide range of Montane products. PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Eco offers a synergy of the excellent warmth, softness, and comfort that PrimaLoft products are known for, in an environmentally friendly synthetic insulation. Approximately 28 recycled water bottles are used in the production of each kilogram of PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Eco, which averages 6 bottles per finished jacket. This 70% recycled fiber technology is combined with a proprietary water repellent treatment and millions of air pockets for immediate warmth without weight or bulk, keeping you dry in wet weather.

The jacket has technical tailoring around the arms to prevent arm lift raising the lower hem whilst reaching high. This is particularly greater when you need to maintain maximum coverage from the elements when on steep or tricky terrain that is exposed. To ensure extra comfort to the wearer, low bulk stretch bound cuffs can be pulled up to the forearms to aid cooling, while with an adjustable hem, it prevents spindrift entry and heat loss.

Fitted with a fully adjustable helmet compatible hood with a three-point adjustment system and a wired peak to provide structure to the hood. The internal elastic loop and hook on the rear hood compression drawcord allows the hood to be rolled down and stowed away whilst not in use during windy conditions.

The jacket features a full-length, reversed and baffled YKK front zip which a fine microfleece on the inner collar next to the chin to provide extra comfort and also two hand-warmer pockets which are positioned clear of a backpack or climbing harness belt. As well as using the pockets for storage, the jacket can be stuffed into the right-hand pocket for easy storage and also doubles up as a small sleeping pillow so you don't have to carry any extra weight while out and about. Additionally, while out in the dark, the jacket also features reflective details to ensure visibility in low light conditions for mountain safety.
