The Active 12 is a large screen Sports Mapping GPS, which displays highly detailed topographic mapping. Whilst being easy to use for new users, it also has a host of advanced features valued by professionals.

The Active 12 follows on from the award winning Active 10 range, but includes a range of exciting new features:
Satmap has mounted a powerful SiRF III receiver with a precision of 3-5m under ideal conditions and has an enormous tracking memory for recording the traveled route every second, or every fourth second in energy saving mode. But also for planning routes, the Active 12 has an ace up it's sleeve: routes can be created directly on the device's screen independent from a PC in only a few minutes! A subsequent modification of the route, e.g. moving or clearing of waypoints is possible any time, too.
During navigation the choice is between a view orientated to the north or to direction of motion. Of course computerized routes also can be processed by Active 12. Creating or editing routes on the computer is possible with SatSync software downloadable at the Satmap website.

By registering your Satmap Active 12 you will gain important benefits and updates that will enhance your enjoyment of this GPS: Events, special offers and discounts, product news and software upgrades. This registration is not imperatively necessary for the entire use of the Active 12!

The Satmap Active 12 is a tough, weatherproof and shockproof GPS unit, purpose built for the great outdoors. The 6 chunky main buttons (and a joystick) are great for use with gloves (or fat fingers), and the 3.5" colour screen is big and bright.
This Bundle comes complete with full UK Ordnance Survey 1:50 000 mapping, a 2700mAh Li-Po rechargeable battery and a car charger. It's also compatible with AA batteries, so if you manage to exhaust it's 24hr (approx) battery life you can always pop in some spares. We recommend using lithium batteries if you must use disposables.
Please note: Satmap Active is contructed for outdoor usage. It is NOT suitable as car navigation device and not car-rooting capable.
The ProSHIELD is a silicon rubber protective case that fits snugly around the Active 12 GPS unit. It has been designed to provide increased impact protection for the Active 12, allowing it to survive drops of up to 3m onto concrete. It also provides additional environmental protection against water and dust (IP67), making it ideal for users operating in extreme conditions or simply wanting another layer of protection for their Active 12 GPS.
Please note: IP67 = Total dust ingress protection, and immersion in water between 15cm and 1m depth for up to 30 minutes. The ProSHIELD fits snugly around the Active 12 (which ensures the case is waterproof). To ensure the fitting is air tight, only an Active 12 with a Standard Battery Back should be used with the ProSHIELD. A Slimline Battery Back or Mount Battery Back will not fit correctly, so this cannot be used with the Bike Mount.

No, there's no need to contact us before returning your parcel.
Yes, you will need to pay the return postage costs. We also advise that you make sure you have sufficient postal insurance, just in case your parcel goes missing on the way back to us.

No, we'll cover this cost - we won't charge you any additional postage for sending an exchange. We'll send your exchange using standard delivery.
We aim to despatch your replacements within 24 hours of receiving your return, then our usual delivery times apply.
We'll try our best to process your refund within 24 hours of receiving your return but please allow 7 days for busy periods. Don't forget that once we've processed your refund, it can take up to 72 hours to show up in your account.
We'll refund you via your original payment method, except in the case of postal orders where we'll refund you by cheque.
Yes, provided you return them within a reasonable time after purchase and they're in perfect condition. We're unable to issue refunds for items returned outside of the 14 day period but we can exchange your item or give you a credit note.

Unfortunately, personalised items are non returnable unless they're found to be faulty.
