Salewa Ultra Train Women's Trail Running Shoes

The Ultra Train is specifically designed for mountain training with a MICHELIN outsole.

Mesh Upper

The Salewa Ultra Train Trail Running Shoe is constructed with a mesh upper, offering maximum ventilation, keeping the feet feeling cool and comfortable throughout a long and hard run. Designed with Adaptive Eyelets which work with the 3F Total System to increase the overall wrapping fit and comfort of the midfoot.

3F Total Midsole

The midsole is equipped with an Ortholite insole which offers the ultimate in comfort, cushioning and breathability, they solve the most common in-shoe problems by creating a cooler, drier and healthier foot environment with innovative technology. The 3F Total System provides additional support to your foot by connecting the 3D System to your shoe's lacing area. This connection ensures optimal comfort, stability and increases foot control where needed. The sole and midsole are developed in synergy to support the natural movement of the foot and provide excellent sure-footedness over any terrain.

MICHELIN Outsole

Developed in partnership with MICHELIN Technical Soles, the design is focused on excellent traction and stability. The aggressive lugged outsole ensures perfect traction, so you can concentrate on your training and enjoy the mountain, whether rapid hiking, long-distance technical trail running or uphill interval training. With its special Outdoor Compound, it has a sculpted and grooved design, inspired by mountain biking tires, that works with the midsole's Motion Guidance technology to support the foots natural movement on uneven terrain.

Salewa History

SALEWA was founded on the 8th July 1935 by Josef Liebhart in Munich. During WW2 the company produced various leather and textile products, first of all, rucksacks with tubular steel frames and ski poles of hazelwood. With the great demand for ski polesin the winter of 1952/53, Salewa made its breakthrough into the sports sector. In 1955, Salewa developed the unique Andes backpack and supported the Andes expedition of Hermann Huber, who was to become the managing director of Salewa. During the 1960s, the development and production of the fully adjustable Salewa classic light crampon set new standards and became one of their most successful products to date. Salewa gained international recognition as a leader in alpine innovation with its invention of the tubular ice screw, which today is an industry standard. In 1978, decisive steps towards expansion were taken and the product range was extended to include functional clothing. In 1979 Salewa presented all its products with the same logo for the first time: the Salewa eagle was created as that logo and thereafter stood as the symbol of incomparable quality.
