Sprayway Lark Down Jacket

Prepare yourself for wintry weather with the Sprayway Lark Down Jacket. With water-repellent treatment combined with a durable and wind-resistant fabric, you will be ready for whatever is thrown at you in the colder months.

Sprayway have used their TecSHELL fabric on the Lark Down Jacket, a material that is lightweight, packable and highly wind resistant. The densely woven construction means that all wind that directly hits the jacket is simply deflected away, not able to penetrate the layer, which would cause your core temperature to drop. Despite the strength of the jacket, it remains lightweight, making it non-restrictive and easy to pack and carry. The TecSHELL fabrics are also treated with a DWR coating, which increases their water resistance, making you ready for the rain. When the heavens do open, Sprayway have further developed the jacket's preparation for rainfall. They have done this by using their technology Water Resistant Down. This is a Teflon treatment that repels water from the jacket, and once wicked away, the fabric is fast-drying, keeping you comfortable, warm and dry in poor conditions. Within the jacket, there is insulation which retains heat well, keeping you comfortably warm. Should you begin to overheat, the full zip down the front can be changed quickly and easily, allowing an airflow in and out of the jacket. Alternatively, if you begin to feel the cold, once zipped fully up, heat will be retained again, and the sealed zip will block wind from entering. A full hood will completely cover the head, providing shelter, able to stretch to size as it has an elastane collar that will sit comfortably around the head. The cuffs are lycra bound, which will tailor the sleeves to the wrists in a non-restrictive way. An adjustable drawcord surrounds the hem of the jacket, which will allow you to fit it to size, or tighten if you feel like there is a draught entering and making you feel cold. Two zipped pockets on the side provide a good space to store small items or keep your hands warm. There is a further zipped internal pocket where you can store more valuable items securely. The jacket is supplied with a stuff sack, which makes carrying the jacket around with you simple and hassle-free.

About SPRAYWAY

Founded in 1974 by two outdoor enthusiasts in Manchester, England the brand quickly became one of Britain's leading outdoor clothing companies. Sprayway has been keeping the British public warm, dry and comfortable in all conditions ever since. From humble beginnings out of a garage in Chorlton, Manchester; to kitting out arctic explorers and National Park rangers. Sprayway has been keeping the British public warm, dry and comfortable since 1974.

John Hunt and Simon Wright initially began making sailing clothing as a natural extension of their passion for competitive dinghy sailing. They were also keen mountaineers and recognised a lack of solid, durable and waterproof climbing clothing at the time. Driven on by the famous Manchester climate surrounding them, the two began manufacturing coated waterproof jackets. By 1982 the brand had launched its first GORE-TEX jacket, the Snipe and in 1983 became the first company to machine tape non-GORE-TEX waterproof clothing, named the Hydro-dry range. Hydro-dry remains an integral technology to this day.

Now in its 40th year, the SPRAYWAY brand continues to use innovative fabrics across a wide range of products and continues to produce garments which utilise cutting edge technology whilst remaining true to their Mancunian roots.
