In the Trek Ascent Insulated Walking Shoes the upper has been tuned to battle the cold, featuring a combination of a Cordura upper and a wool lining, these are as minimal a winter walking shoe as you will find. Vibram understand the need for industry leading technologies and as such only accept the best. This is demonstrated in their use of Cordura fabric in the upper. Constructed using high tenacity fiber technologies, weight for weight, Cordura fabrics are exceptionally durable, versatile and reliable. To provide warmth the Trek Ascent features a wool lining which traps heat whilst still retaining breathability to prevent your feet from overheating during outdoor pursuits. Durability and protection is further enhanced with the inclusion of water repellent rubber between the toes.

Icetrek Outsole

Engineered with an Icetrek outsole, the Trek Ascent makes moving over slippy and wet surfaces seem easy. Designed with low to very low temperatures in mind, the Icetrek outsole is a 4mm puncture resistant rubber compound which offers superior grip on icy surfaces and cold terrain.
