Alex debuted the shoe’s performance during his marathon debut at the 2025 TCS London Marathon, finishing with an impressive time of 2:11:08. His role in the development of the FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 came full circle when he wore the shoe throughout his marathon training and on race day.

The Upper

The New Balance SuperComp Elite v5 emphasises light weight like never before, coming in at approximately 214g for a mens 9.5.

The tongue and collar are engineered for a comfortable, natural feeling transition from training shoe to race shoe.

FuelCell Midsole

Years of research went into perfecting the SuperComp Elite v5 containing a FuelCell midsole made with 100% PEBA foam. A stiffer forefoot carbon fibre plate, combined with a PEBA FuelCell midsole leads to an exceptionally propulsive feeling.
