The GT-1000 14 has had a modernisation, with even more energised cushioning than their predecessors. Featuring an FF Blast cushioning through the midsole it's designed to help create cloud-like cushioning and a more energetic response. The 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM helps increase stability for a balanced, confident stride.

Engineered Jacquard Mesh

Constructed from an engineered jacquard mesh, the upper of the GT-1000 14 is super soft, flexible and highly breathable to keep you comfortable on long runs. The lightweight materials work with the natural motion of your feet for flexible, unrestrictive movement. Perforations in the fabric provide constant airflow and a cool, fresh sensation for optimum breathability, and a reduced risk of overheating or discomfort so you can focus on the run ahead. Moisture-wicking properties help keep feet dry and comfortable by quickly wicking excess sweat from the surface of your skin, to disperse it through the fabric's construction, for the best in-shoe experience. Reduced seams keep things comfortable by preventing the risks of irritation or chafing during excessive movement, and the tongue and collar sit soft against your skin to further ensure comfort. The heel and tongue loop assist in taking the shoes on and off. Finally, the laces provide you with a secure, adjustable fit that locks down the midfoot to prevent in-shoe slipping when you're on the move.

FF Blast Midsole

For cloud-like comfort, cushioning every step and propelling you into the next, the GT-1000 14 features ASICS' unique FF Blast technology. This lightweight compound keeps you supper light and responsive on your feet, whilst allowing you to endure every mile. Softening your landing, the cushioning has exceptional energy return properties, to push you towards your next record, and with shock-absorbing properties absorbs the impact when striking down on tough, less-forgiving surfaces, sparing your joints and keeping you energetic. The shoes feature an updated, soft version of ASICS' GEL technology, which is approximately 65% softer in comparison to standard GEL technology. This also encourages smoother heel-to-toe transitions and a more enjoyable ride, whilst the Hybrid Max Lite sockliner adds even more underfoot comfort and cushioning properties. The sockliner has moisture-wicking properties to keep feet dry when the run gets intense. To provide adaptive, on-demand stability, the shoes feature a 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM, that uses platform geometry and controlled deformation to help reduce overpronation, keeping you supported and enhancing smooth transitions.

AHARPLUS and AHAR LO Outsole

Extremely durable underfoot, the GT-1000 14 features an AHARPLUS outsole rubber, ASICS' pinnacle highly abrasive resistant rubber which is majorly present across the heel area, for enhanced durability. Working alongside this, the outsole features an AHAR LO rubber, which is a lower-density rubber strategically placed in areas of the outsole that require more grip and traction, without needing to sacrifice the overall durability of the outsole. This unique combination of rubber provides optimum grip, traction and stability across a variety of road running surfaces, and is super durable, for long-lasting reliability.
