Mammut Ducan III Low GORE-TEX Women's Walking Shoes
Low-cut, lightweight shoes designed for extra comfort on long hikes and multi-day tours. The FLEXTRON propulsion plate combines midfoot stability with increased energy efficiency and comfort over long distances and challenging terrain.
Abrasion-Resistent Double-Layered Mesh Upper
To ensure feet remain comfortable, cool and dry when traversing tricky trails or venturing onto the streets, the Ducan III features an abrasion-resistant double-layered mesh upper alongside a GORE-TEX stretch membrane. The mesh encourages cool, refreshing air to circulate while removing unwanted warm air, helping to regulate temperature and create a perfect microclimate where feet can thrive. The mesh is also abrasion-resistant and withstands the rigours of tough trekking conditions. To avoid damp feet and, therefore, dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane is integrated into the shoe's mesh upper to provide durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. An elasticated GORE-TEX tongue enhances waterproof protection, while the raised, TPU-reinforced rand protects the toes from rocks and uneven surfaces. A traditional lacing system completes the upper, locking down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
High Rebound Critial EVA Midsole
The Ducan III features exceptionally soft landing and shock-absorbing properties in its midsole, providing you with a pleasant hiking experience, all thanks to the high-rebound critical midsole. Enhancing underfoot cushioning, the EVA softens your landing, absorbing impact during strides, reducing the risk of discomfort or injury on long, strenuous hikes. Mammut has included a Flextron propulsion plate, which delivers powerful energy return and dynamic forefoot flex while providing just the right amount of torsional stability. The plate propels you forward, helping you pick up the pace on the trail. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite insole, which offers step-in comfort.
Vibram XS Trek Outsole
The Ducan III utilise a Vibram XS Trek rubber outsole, delivering high levels of grip while remaining incredibly durable. This is an exceptional source of stability and grip for your feet, providing you with sure-footedness on day hikes. The flexible properties of the outsole allow feet to move comfortably and naturally, whereas the grippy nature of the sole provides you with the traction necessary on ever-changing terrain. Increasing traction underfoot, the traction lugs dig deep on wet, slippery surfaces and tricky terrain, so you can remain stable and secure across varying conditions.
