Engineered Mesh Upper
The upper of the Nike Pegasus Premium has been created from a circular knit fabric that's light and highly breathable, keeping feet cool and comfortable over long distances. Perforations within the material allow for air to effectively circulate around the foot, allowing for heat to escape and leave a cooling fresh feeling. Providing high stability, the upper also has a built in midfoot band, this offers a more secure fit by moulding to the shape of your foot specifically. Padding in the tongue compliments the foot hugging effect as it gives a snug and cushioned feeling in-shoe while working in collaboration with a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot for minimised slippage. To complete the upper, reflective detailing's have been added to improve your overall visibility in low light conditions, motivating you to stay up and running into dusk.
ZoomX and ReactX Midsole
Providing you with maximised cushioning, the Pegasus Premium has both ZoomX and ReactX foam within the midsole to let you get the most out of your run. Experience a motivating boost in every stride with the Pegasus Premium, featuring a full-length layer of ZoomX - Nike's most responsive foam. This component absorbs shock as you strike down on unforgiving surfaces, before releasing the building pressure within your following strides to propel you forwards. The foam reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, further helping to prevent fatigue and enhance your running performance. To balance out the ride and add support, the ReactX foam has been implemented into the midsole, offering stability and a solid base for a reassured run. Now 13% more responsive than previous React foams, you can stay bouncy on your feet. Sandwiched between the two layers of foam is a full-length, visible sculpted Air Zoom unit that helps propel you forward like never before. Due to advanced technologies and rapid prototyping, Nike has successfully improved the Air units, which closely resemble the shape of the foot, enhancing efficiency underfoot. Both foams combine with pressurised air and internal fibres to deliver responsive cushioning that springs back fast, helping you move faster.
Durable Rubber Outsole
Produced using a waffle-inspired rubber outsole, the Pegasus Premium ensures extraordinary traction in varied conditions. The rubber has been modified and combined with high-abrasion rubber, providing a stronger grip on various surfaces whilst protecting itself from damage and users from losing control. The rubber is placed in high-wear areas such as the forefoot and heel to increase durability and resist heel strike trauma, supplying you with a reliable and long-lasting running buddy. Wave-like flex grooves also feature on the outsole to supply added traction and flexibility underfoot.
