Tested and developed by local guides and athletes in some of the harshest conditions, the Mutant 52 has evolved into a formidable mountaineering pack for big objectives.

Designed with NanoFly fabric accents, the Mutant 52 backpack is highly abrasive, tear- and water-resistant to keep you focused on the journey ahead and not your bag. Following a narrow profile, the backpack is perfect for moving through mountainous terrain safely and efficiently. With a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish added, rain and poor weather are effectively blocked from entering time and time again. The Mutant's back panel features Snowshed material, which prevents snow from accumulating inside the pack and adding unnecessary weight. Within the material is rigid EVA foam to provide support and cushioning; reinforcing the panel is an Atilon framesheet with dual aluminium stays. Attached to the back panel is a harness crafted from stretch-woven mesh over EVA foam with a tuckaway safety whistle. The harness allows air to circulate comfortably in close-to-skin areas while being padded for cushioning in high-weight-bearing areas. To clip the back harness together is a sternum strap and a padded Hipbelt, both helping to evenly distribute the weight along the body for better stability. The hipbelt also has loops for ice tool clips and gears for those that like to be prepared at all times and can be removed for unimpeded climbing. All buckles are glove-friendly, allowing you to clip in and out without fiddling.

Containing a large main compartment, the bulk of personal items fit here with no problem, with an internal hydration system tucked within an internal sleeve for quick and easy hydrating; the main compartment is securely sealed by a FlapJack cover. The top lid is entirely removable to discard extra weight when not needed and contains a zip pocket for storing small essentials and valuables while on the go. A removable helmet carry net has also been implemented into the design and is multi-positional around the backpack. Rope attachments feature at the entrance of the pack with compression packs to ensure secure carry. The Mutant 52 also has several external storage points so you get the most out of what you have, with daisy-chain loops down the front panel, compatible with Voile straps, alongside dual Tool Locks with bungee adjustments. Located on the side panels are reinforced webbing for A-frame ski carry, offering high stability and keeping ski tails away from the legs. Finally, the bag has a three-point haul system to allow you to easily secure it before raising heavy loads.
