Scarpa Cyclone GORE-TEX Walking Boots

A lightweight walking boot that will guarantee the comfort needed for day-long hikes, the Scarpa Cyclone GORE-TEX Walking Boots uses a GORE-TEX membrane to keep you dry whilst also allowing durable breathability.

GORE-TEX Upper

Surrounding the upper of the Cyclone is a durable GORE-TEX membrane. This covers the whole of the top half of the shoe, acting as a barrier between the surface of the shoes material and you feet. The membrane will block the entry of all moisture, keeping you feeling dry even in the dampest of conditions. Despite blocking the entry of moisture, the membrane will still allow a constant flow of air to enter and exit through it. This will mean that your feet will have a temperature regulation that will keep you feeling fresh and comfortable. The upper is made from thick Nubuck, which is designed to protect. This will offer complete protection from any bumps or knocks that you might pick up when out on the trails. Additionally, there upper has a dual-injection exo-skeleton. This elevates the uppers support to a new level by having structural support that will hold your feet in a healthy and strong position. Thick material surrounds the toes and the heel to guarantee protection and comfort to vulnerable areas of the feet. The laces are extremely easy to secure to achieve a personalised fit. The lace furniture will also allow the fit to be controlled with both a lace lock and a tongue centralisation facility. The high and padded ankle collar and tongue will block dirt and debris from entering the boots, as well as feeling soft and padded against the skin,

Dual-Density Midsole

With a dual-density midsole the Cyclone will provide you with supreme comfort and protection. This is because the midsole has different characteristics. At the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is extremely densely packed. This will mean that all shocks and heavy impacts are attenuated instantly and effectively, stopping the forces from reaching the sole of the foot. Additionally, the EVA is able to transfer this energy into rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. Towards the top of the midsole, the EVA changes, as it is softer and less dense. This will mean that on every step you will feel a soft cushioned feel, making the first step of the day feel as comfortable as the last one. Underneath the heel, the boot uses the Heel Tension System. This offers great stability and adaptability to the severe stress derived from steep routes. The particular design and the TPU material help the upper responsively, avoiding torsional twists and makes walking easier even on difficult and rough terrains.

Vibram Outsole

Grip and traction on the most challenging of terrain, whilst also keeping the boot extremely lightweight. This is down largely to the Vibram Outsole. The rubber is able to form a solid connection with a wide range of different surfaces, which will keep you feeling stabilised and upright. The rubber itself is abrasion resistant, and will maintain its shape and definition despite use on rocky ground. An aggressive lug design will anchor your feet to the ground, especially if it is wet, providing a solid and firm base to push off from. Flex grooves within the outsole will help foot flexion and reactivity on dynamic walks.
