Built for efficient, unrestricted natural movement, these lightweight runners are the lightest yet. The virtually weightless, breathable upper is made from engineered recycled mesh and forgoes overlays in favour of a stripped-back, seamless construction.
Recycled Mesh Upper
Lightweight and breathable, the Primus Flow features a recycled mesh upper for optimum comfort and a fresh wearing experience when running. This ultra-lightweight upper allows feet to bend and flex comfortably and naturally, whilst keeping them fresh so you can enjoy even the more intense sessions. Strategic perforations provide a constant supply of cool air to your feet, replacing hot, muggy air when you're undergoing tough periods of your run. Moisture-wicking properties also work to stop excessive sweat or moisture build-up to keep feet dry under pressure. The seamless design has no overlays, providing you with a stripped-back, comfortable upper that remains lightweight and also prevents excessive discomfort from chafing or irritation. Finally, the lace-up system provides feet with a super secure fit, preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring and keeping feet secure when enduring long miles.
ETPU Midsole
The Primus Flow features an innovative 4mm midsole compound made from low-density ETPU, which has been engineered to keep you connected with the ground below. Additionally, this midsole design ensures that all your muscles are engaged and your body feels strong when taking on tough runs. Helping to reduce injuries or discomfort without sacrificing proprioception, the ETPU has shock-absorbing properties to keep legs and feet fresh. This minimal midsole supplies you with a barefoot-style shoe that encourages natural stability, sensory feedback and strength during training or running. VivoBarefoot advises that before taking on running in barefoot shoes, take it slow - first learn how to stand, walk and squat barefoot, then tackle racing, in order to prevent injuries. To reduce weight and bring you closer to the ground there is no insole.
