Engineered Jacquard Mesh Upper

Wrapping feet in a layer of breathable comfort, the Gel-Nimbus 27 TR has a soft, engineered jacquard mesh upper, which supplies feet with advanced ventilation, allowing cool air to travel through the shoes, preventing overheating and keeping feet fresh. The lightweight construction is flexible to keep feet comfortably contained and allows natural movement for the best trail running experience. The uppers feature sewn-in overlays providing added protection and support across trail conditions. Moisture-wicking properties help to reduce the risks of overheating or discomfort from a build-up of sweat or moisture when things become intense, therefore keeping feet feeling fresh and dry. A knit rib collar and gusseted tongue wing fit system sit comfortably against your feet and ankles, preventing irritation or chafing and working to keep your feet secure. Working alongside this, a lace-up system keeps feet locked in, allowing you to get the best fit and preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring during excessive movement. Finally, the shoes are stylised with a Nature Bathing colourway that stands out with earthy tones and a unique design, inspired by the Japanese practice of forest bathing.

FF BLast Plus Midsole

For a lighter, even softer cushioning experience than their predecessors, and an extra 2mm in plush cushioning, the Gel-Nimbus 27 TR features an enhanced FF Blast Plus midsole. This added cushioning improves softness and takes the shoe's comfort level to new heights, providing outstanding underfoot comfort and allowing feet to thrive under the pressures of the trail ahead. The compound offers shock absorption, ensuring that your feet feel fresh and comfortable. Thanks to the foam's bounce-back properties, it effectively absorbs the impact from varying trail conditions, preventing discomfort or possible injuries from occurring. Further helping to keep feet lightweight and providing you with a soft landing, the shoes feature ASICS' PureGEL technology in the rearfoot to provide a super soft, energetic experience that encourages smooth transitions during your stride. PureGEL is approximately 65% softer than conventional GEL technology, for soft landings. Completing the midsole is an OrthoLite X-55 sockliner to add extra levels of cushioning.

100% of the shoe's upper is recycled, and ASICS have used bio-based materials for the shoe's cushioning. They've also used less water and reduced their carbon emissions while producing the shoe's sock liner. Better for you, better for the environment.
