Engineered Mesh Upper

Providing you with enhanced levels of breathability and comfort, the ASICS MEGABLAST features an engineered mesh upper. The material will allow a steady flow of air in and out of the shoes, which will provide constant breathability and ventilation, and help regulate temperature to keep you going for longer in comfort. This lightweight, breathable mesh material helps to reduce the need for additional overlays, minimising bulk, whilst its enhanced stretch and ventilation ensure comfort. Completing the upper, a traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot to provide a secure fit and feel that can be easily adjusted and customised to suit you.

This colourway is part of the Tokyo collection, inspired by the old and new ages of Tokyo. Purple hues are reminiscent of the wisteria flowers and their welcoming nature. In Japan, this flower is also recognised for its gratuitous spirit that reflects the act of Japanese hospitality. Additionally, the bold Sunrise Red hues are emblematic of modern Tokyo's high-energy lifestyle and fast pace. Lastly, various design elements, like the badge details and midsole speckle, represent the stadium seats and the celebration of different achievements in sports after world championship moments.

The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology. At least 50% of the shoe's main upper material is made with recycled content to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

Utilising lightweight, energetic foam in the midsole, the MEGABLAST features FF TURBO² cushioning designed to ensure lightweight rebound and advanced cushioning comfort underfoot. This new foam, equipped with high bounce (more than SUPERBLAST 2), is lighter in weight to keep you light on your feet and feeling mega-bouncy, making this energised daily trainer responsive and well-rounded for various speeds and distances. FF TURBO² cushioning is the pinnacle FF TURBO foam, which is an exceptionally bouncy and energetic midsole material with added resilience. This midsole foam helps to provide the ultimate cushioning and rebound for your run. Lastly, the curved sole design helps you to conserve more energy in each step.

ASICSGRIP Rubber Outsole

Outstanding grip and traction are guaranteed with the ASICSGRIP outsole. Keeping you anchored to the ground beneath you will improve efficiency, making sure that every second counts. The rubber can form a solid grip on surfaces beneath you for complete control in all conditions and on a variety of terrain. Additionally, the rubber is extremely tough and abrasion-resistant, which means that it will maintain its shape and definition over a long period. The design of the outsole will also provide further traction, as it will dig in to provide further control.
