The iconic Metcon 1 has returned in true minimalist form. From Flywire cables to a breathable mesh upper, this is the exact 2015 iteration that rocked the workout world. As its 10th anniversary approaches, the Metcon 1 OG is here for the toughest workouts.
The Metcon 1 OG encases your feet with a layer of breathable mesh to provide a constant supply of cool, fresh airflow, to keep feet feeling cool and comfortable during those high-heat workout sessions. The durable, breathable materials protect feet from bumps and scrapes during training, ensuring longevity and reliability. Moisture-wicking properties prevent feet from overheating and reduce the build-up of sweat and moisture on your skin, keeping you dry and fresh. With a flexible construction, the fabrics will also ensure feet can move and flex naturally, preventing restriction during training and keeping you comfortable throughout. Flywire cables and the lace-up system provide a secure, locked-in fit, minimising the risks of in-shoe slipping during exercise. Finally, the shoes have reflective details to help enhance your visibility when training in low-light conditions.
Providing outstanding underfoot cushioning and a stable landing base, the Metcon 1 OG utilises a Cushlon foam midsole. This soft, responsive cushioning provides the perfect energy to push yourself into the next rep or lift, for outstanding performance and a comfortable training form. This dual-density foam is highly resilient, providing you with long-lasting, reliable performance and shock-absorbing properties. The midsole helps reduce discomfort and injuries by absorbing impact when striking down onto the hard ground below. The midsole has a wide, flat base to enhance the in-shoe stability, keeping you focused on the workout ahead.
For excellent grip and traction across various surfaces, the Metcon 1 OG utilises a durable, grippy, rubber outsole, making it the perfect training companion. The durable outsole will enhance the shoe's longevity and provide a reliable and stable platform. The outsole offers additional stability as the rubber wraps around the midfoot, providing grip during rope climbing and speed during sliding descents. It is perfect for intense workouts, gym sessions, and classes involving sharp, aggressive, and lateral movements.
