LightSpray offers a seamless and responsive second-skin fit. A single 1.5km long filament is spun by robot to create a mesh-like upper, which is breathable and elastic, with no need for laces. And, at just 30g, it's the lightest upper On have ever made. Creating the upper in a single piece not only creates a seamless, distraction-free fit - it also minimizes waste, eliminates the need for glues and emits 75% less CO₂ than other On premium uppers. This means it is ultra light and minimal, so you get that barely-there feel that keeps you focussed on the road ahead.

Advanced Midsole and Outsole

Using On's unique outsole-midsole technology, the Cloudboom Strike utilises strategically placed CloudTec elements to provide outstanding cushioning and optimised comfort which creates a faster, smoother roll-through experience. This advanced technology adapts to your stride and reacts to your unique movements to receive a soft, bouncy landing and encourage explosive take-offs. Reacting according to your distinctive movements, CloudTec compresses horizontally and vertically to cushion just where it should. The horizontal deformation of the Clouds also reduces braking force. Additionally, the CloudTec elements provide shock-absorbing comfort to help reduce stress and strain on your joints that often occur when striking down on harder surfaces, therefore keeping you comfortable. Working with this, a stiff, spoon-shaped carbon fibre Speedboard works as a springboard, absorbing energy and transferring this into the forefoot. The combined technology adapts to your stride and reacts to your unique movements to receive a soft, bouncy landing and encourage explosive take-offs.
