Osprey Stratos 24L Hiking Backpack
Experience cloudlike comfort, exceptional ventilation and trail-tested durability with the Stratos 24.
Crafted with 210D recycled nylon, the Stratos 24L backpack is highly reliable for day hikes and walks alike. The material is durable against possible snags and is bluesign® approved, providing long-lasting sustainability. With a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish added, rain and poor weather are effectively blocked from entering time and time again. While the finish will protect you from light rain, be prepared for heavy downpours, with a waterproof rain cover included in the bag; slip it on for effective waterproofing. To protect your back and shoulders, Airspeed Suspension has been utilised with the back panel, where a mesh trampoline has been added to cushion the back but still allow great air circulation in between you and the backpack; paired with a LightWire peripheral frame, the mesh has tension applied to it for better support no matter the weight. The built in harness allows you to optimise the most comfortable fit for you that offers better support when carrying heavy weights, consisting of padded and breathable shoulder straps that utilise spacer mesh to keep air circulating. On the back panel, the harness has a ladder lock system, giving you a couple inches of vertical adjustability, alongside load lifters located at the top of the bag to shift where the load weight sits. To clip the back harness together is a sternum strap with magnetic closure, safety whistle and magnetic bite valve attachment and a mesh covered Hipbelt, with padding to support heavy loads and promote stability with a Crossbody ErgoPull system to ensure a snug fit for optimal load transfer.
The main compartment has a dual-zip entrance that opens wide, allowing you to easily locate items within or add large items to the bag with ease. Within the main back zip pocket of the pack is an internal sleeve for a hydration system; you can easily slip a hydration system in and thread it out with a hose routing port and hydraclip for simple hydration. A smaller top zip pocket has been added for valuables and small essentials while also featuring a key clip to prevent panic caused by missing keys after a long hike, alongside a secondary small zip pocket that will fit a mobile phone or sunglasses. A large vertical zip-stash pocket has been added to the front of the pack, allowing you to out in or retrieve extra layers with ease. Down either side of the bag are two stretch pockets for water bottles, which are within reach without removing the bag and losing momentum. When packed up, easily pull the upper and lower side straps to compress the load for bounce free wear. Exterior storage points have been added to make the most out of this backpack, with multiple lash loops alongside stow-on-the-go trekking pole attachments on either strap for better accessibility.
