Welded Upper
The advanced upper is almost weightless keeping you free to move at a faster pace. The sock-like fit and breathable Matryx mesh are reinforced by Aramid fibres to cradle your foot like a glove for ultimate comfort. The EVA sock liner offers excellent cushioning and comfort instantly with stitch-free construction reducing the risk of irritation from rubbing and chafing. The tight mesh prevents debris from being trapped between your foot and the footbed ensuring added comfort as you run. As well as this, the upper features Profeel Film to filter out rocks and sharp surfaces. Additionally, an integrated gaiter has been designed to keep debris out of your shoes as well as provide added protection from the elements. The shoe is easy to put on and take off with the minimalistic and strong Quicklace for one-pull tightening.
Energy Surge Midsole
Teamed with the lightweight upper, Salomon's lightest ever midsole features so as to not weigh you down on your trail runs. The Energy Surge midsole is constructed of a responsive foam created by combining EVA and Olefin (OBC) to deliver long-lasting cushion and bouncy energy return. The combination of Salomon's lightest midsole and almost weightless advanced upper creates one of the lightest S/LAB shoes ever, coming in at just under 200g. This allows you to feel fast when hitting the trail. Just the right amount of strategic cushioning keeps you agile on the trails thanks to a propulsive ride.
Mud Contagrip Outsole
Completing the S/LAB Pulsar SG is a Mud Contagrip outsole. This outsole has been built for maximum grip on loose, soft, rugged and uneven surfaces, making it perfect for those trail runs on soft ground. Deep, sharp lugs are made from a compound that focuses on adhesion to supply you with a reliable grip so that you can focus on the run ahead.
