Breathable Knitted Upper

The upper of the TX 2 is constructed with a breathable knitted material that features no stitching to enhance ventilation and bring superb comfort during your approach. The material allows air to fully permeate it, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously pushing out hot, muggy air that resides during heavy exertion activities. The knitted fabric allows the upper to obtain a construction with different degrees of elasticity within the same fabric meaning where you need the material to be more supportive it will be and where you need it to be more stretchy, it won't restrict you.

In addition, the laces tie in with a system that helps to pull the fabric closer to the foot to provide a nice snug fit. This construction also helps provide a locked-in fit, allowing the material to wrap around the foot for extreme comfort. The upper offers an all-around protective coating that ensures high abrasion resistance and durability. The protective coating provides amazing protection through tricky terrains that you will traverse through on your approach to the spot where you can start climbing.

The lacing system is derived from the Mythos climbing model and regulates tension and inner volumes in one simple move, while a rubber toe bumper provides protection to the toes when on tricky trails. Inside the shoes is a soft fabric lining that will provide excellent comfort throughout the ankle area, allowing you to focus on the task in front of you. All of these features combine the comfort and a trail running shoe to the technical characteristics of a climbing shoe. The Traverse X is the ultimate expression of moving in the mountains quickly and safely.

Injection Moulded EVA Midsole

The TX 2 uses Injection Moulded EVA Midsole which differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsole for a high degree of cushioning and better rebound properties. These features assist the toe off phase of the gait cycle while running, making these ideal shoes on offroad trails. Furthermore, EVA injected midsoles drastically reduce the squash effect of the EVA over time, allowing the product to maintain the same characteristics and high performance for its entire duration.

An added feature on the midsole is a bungee that allows you to pull it around the other shoe so they stay together when not in use and prevents the flapping around individually creating a distraction when climbing.

Vibram Outsole

Vibram is a high contender of the world leaders in high-performance soling systems. They combine cutting edge designs with advanced rubber compounds to deliver optimum performance. The Vibram compound used in the TX 2 is the Megagrip which provides unrivalled grip on all terrain in all conditions.
