Merrell Outmost Ventilator GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes

This light hiker features a breathable, moisture-blocking GORE-TEX lining and an outsole that grips on the go.

GORE-TEX Upper

Constructed using a suede and mesh upper, the Merrell Outmost Ventilator GORE-TEX Walking Shoes ensure you are able to go the distance in complete comfort. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in, whilst the vegan synthetic leather works as traditional leather offering water resistance and durability for exceptional performance on the trail. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A Bellows tongue works to keep out debris whilst a traditional lacing system which locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

EVA Midsole

A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. A Merrell air cushion on the heel also absorbs shocks and adds stability whilst a moulded nylon shank increases torsional rigidity for added support. Completing the midsole is an M select Fit contoured footbed which provides added underfoot cushioning and provides odour control to prevent the build-up of bacteria.

M-Select Grip Outsole

Developed using M-Select grip, the outsole of the Outmost Ventilator Walking Shoes ensures durable traction and grip when and where you need it the most. Designed to work on both wet and dry ground the outsole for mixed terrain use. The tear-resistant durable outsole will hold your grip in any weather so you'll never have to worry about underperforming because the outsole ensures confident footing at all times. The outsole also features dee[lugs which work to increase grip for lateral movements. The angled lugs cut through tough terrain with ease to give confidence on wet uneven ground. The lugs are also self-cleaning meaning they release dirt and debris on the move ensuring grip and traction, are never compromised.
