Merrell Speed Eco Waterproof Women's Walking Shoes
The waterproof Speed Eco is Merrell's most sustainable, eco-friendly hiking shoe yet, featuring recycled laces, upper, lining, EVA footbed, and a recycled rubber outsole. These walking shoes will provide you with the comfort you expect from Merrell and the performance you demand for hiking.
Waterproof Upper
Utilising a jacquard upper, the Speed Eco has a comfortable feel and a durable design, with the ability to keep feet cool and dry, thanks to the waterproof membrane. The jacquard upper provides an enhanced level of protection against knocks, bumps, dirt and debris, for shoes with enhanced longevity. A bellows tongue keeps out debris for added comfort on the trail. This upper has been made with 77% recycled jacquard for a more sustainable choice. A Merrell waterproof membrane features to prevent water, rain and damp conditions from entering the shoe, keeping feet dry and cosy no matter what the conditions are. The 100% recycled laces and webbing keep feet locked in and secure, preventing in-shoe slippage from occurring. Lastly, a 100% recycled mesh lining adds to the breathability of the Speed Eco WP.
Lightweight EVA Foam Midsole
To provide feet with a high level of comfort and breathability, a mesh lining resides through the midsole of these shoes to keep feet feeling fresh from start to finish. The walking shoes have a removable EVA foam footbed that works alongside a lightweight EVA foam midsole to provide stability and comfort. The EVA also contains shock absorption properties and is highly responsive to help lessen the burden placed on your knees and joints whilst walking for long periods. The footbed is lined with an NXT cover to prevent odour, keeping feet feeling and smelling fresher for longer. The removable EVA foam footbed is made with 50% recycled materials.
Rubber Outsole
Designed with 30% recycled rubber, the outsole is designed to offer traction and support in various conditions whilst being better for the planet. The outsole allows for flexibility and makes each step more comfortable. The recycled rubber provides traction on wet and dry surfaces, ensuring you have confident footing no matter where you choose to explore.
