Featuring Pertex Quantum, the gilet uses an ultra-thin water-resistant coating to provide increased weather resistance for extreme conditions. Pertex Quantum delivers a high level of water resistance whilst remaining lightweight and breathable for all temperature comfort. The durable nature of the fabric works to give you peace of mind on tough ascents, and it provides lightweight abrasion resistance so you'll never have to worry about tears. Pertex Quantum is ideal for use in cold or damp environments where keeping warm and dry is crucial. As well as this, the Pertex fabrication maximises the efficiency of insulation to keep you toasty and warm when temperatures drop. Furthermore, a 900 fill power European goose down with Nikwax, hydrophobic down has been used within the fabrication around the core where heat is needed the most; it offers unbelievable insulation by trapping warm air inside the garment for maximum warmth at minimum weight. PrimaLoft Gold, synthetic insulation, is used over the shoulders and down the sides to provide exceptional warmth from the moment you put it on. A relaxed fit is designed to be slim fitting but not too tight, it supplies comfortable coverage that moves with you and provides enough room for layering if you require it. This fit also ensures freedom of movement because your clothing choice should never inhibit your natural motion. The armholes are partly elasticated to keep the warm air in, whilst also keeping you comfortable and improving the fit of the gilet. A front zip exists for complete temperature control and can be worn up to seal in the heat or zipped down to release an intolerable heat build-up. The drawcord adjustable hem allows you to cinch down the fit, whilst zippered hand pockets can be used to store your essential items.
