The jacket uses FlexShell, a technology developed by Saucony to prepare you for many different weather condition. The FlexShell is on the front panel, sleeves and upper and lower back and it provides waterproofing to these areas. As well as this, these areas are protected from the wind, which will keep it out and away from the body. Despite this, the jacket is still breathable and will allow a constant flow of air in and out of the construction. This is especially useful when you start exercising, as the warm air that builds up can escape, where it is then replaced by cooler air from outside, working to ventilate. When exposed to rainfall, the material will act on this by making the rain bead before wicking it away. This will keep you lightweight and dry. For colder days, the jacket will act as the perfect piece of kit as it has a thermal stretch fabric across the back and on the sleeves. This will not only keep you warm but it will do so without compromising movement. There is also a soft, ultra-breathable fleece lining which will wick sweat away as well as providing a comfortable next to skin feel. A full-zip is easily adjusted to allow more air in and out and can be kept in a zipper garage for a comfortable fit. Taped and flat-lying seams will seal all moisture and wind out whilst also reducing the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing. Zipped front hand pockets and a hidden front zipped chest pocket will allow you to carry around small items securely. Envelope thumbholes keep the sleeves firmly in place and also offer you the option to keep your hands warm. Reflective details will improve your visibility and safety during night time running.
