RUNNING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS: LONDON TO THE WIRRAL
Running Home For Christmas is Back for a second year – bigger, better and more spectacular.
2023 will see SportsShoes team up with Mizuno and The Running Channel for a momentous challenge. The aim is to help TRC presenter Rick run over 200 miles from London to his hometown on the Wirral as a relay.
When Rick had a second major knee surgery last year he was told he’d never run again - but he worked hard and beat all the odds to make a miraculous running recovery.
Off the back of his journey from surgery to his recovery, right up to his emotional first postoperative run - Running Home For Christmas creates the next momentous chapter of Rick’s story, whilst helping important causes along the way. We’ll be asking runners all over the world to Run Home For Christmas themselves - either literally, or by running throughout December, pledging the miles and raising money for charities of their choosing. There is no better time of year to help those in need.
Every run logged in our Strava group and £ raised adds to the totals which are updated live on the Running Home For Christmas website. With each milestone hit, exciting new prizes are unlocked – provided by SportsShoes & Mizuno.
