Podium Home Nations 5K
The Podium Home International 5K Event in Cardiff did not disappoint!
It wasn’t quite ‘Gun to Tape’ in the two Home Nations races for winners Tom Mortimer and Calli Thackeray, but once the pair hit the front at around 1k they turned the screw and stayed there pushing the pace.
There were some super-fast results, with the top 3 women all finishing in under 16 minutes and the top 5 men finishing in under 14.

HOW WILL IT WORK
Thirty athletes will take turns competing one at a time, with each athlete setting off at minute intervals.
The challenge is to complete one all-out lap of the Podium track.
The athlete who sets the fastest lap time will claim the hot seat and the £1k cash prize, remaining there until someone manages to beat their time and dethrone them.
*Please note there are separate entries for male and female races*
