The upper of the Vanish Pulse has been constructed with a wide gauge knit to ensure breathable comfort. It is soft yet robust, and allows fresh air to flow in for a pleasant cooling sensation. A heel webbing pull tab allows you get the shoes on with ease, and the refined flat tongue is sleek and allows for speed centric, distraction free wearing. A traditional lacing system locks in the fit and the roomy toebox that comes with the Altra Original Footshape allows for full toe-splay.
FAST PCE Midsole
The all-new FAST PCE midsole foam is designed to deliver a poppy, lightweight ride that's ideal for tempo runs or race day. It won't weigh you down, yet provides excellent responsiveness, attenuating shock and converting it into rebound, helping you run further faster, using less energy. This means you can really go flat out when the time comes. With a zero drop, the heel and the forefoot are the same distance from the ground, encouraging proper low-impact form throughout your trail run.
