The L.I.M Barrier Shorts from Haglofs are filled with the lightest solid material you can find - Primaloft Aerogel. Aerogel is a flexible, lightweight, compression-resistant insulation that won't conduct heat or cold. It's created by combining a polymer with a liquid to form a gel, and then replacing all of that liquid with air. Aerogel is so efficient because it's made up of millions of air pockets that reduce heat loss from freezing cold elements. In fact, Aerogel is actually 98.2% air, perfectly encapsulated to create an impenetrable thermal barrier. The shorts are coated with a fluorocarbon free DWR treatment for weather protection. The smooth stretch material gusset allows for better mobility whilst an elasticated waist provides a personalised fit. The shorts are easy to get on and off thanks to the full-length side zips which can also be used to provide ultimate temperature control. Lastly, zippered thigh pockets provide ample storage space for essential items.
