One of the hardest-working shoes in the HOKA lineup, the Bondi 9 delivers peak plushness for everyday miles. Overhauled from top to bottom, Hoka has increased the stack height and added a new premium foam midsole that delivers a soft, resilient ride synonymous with the Bondi.
Engineered Knit Upper
Engineered using a breathable knit, the upper of the Bondi 9 ensures a secure fit that hugs the foot for optimum comfort, whilst remaining highly breathable. The knit fabrication helps to enhance breathability throughout your runs by allowing cool air to permeate the fabric, and uncomfortable heat build-up is then removed, creating a healthy environment where feet can thrive. An extended heel tab and a 3D moulded collar have been included, designed for further comfort and to assist in putting the shoes on whilst providing additional protection to the Achilles. Reflective details have been included on the upper to provide visibility in low-light conditions, allowing you to train safely. Lastly, a traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement.
Super Critical Foam Midsole
Supplying you with an exceptional ride, the Bondi 9 utilises a super-critical foam midsole to provide a more cushioned, responsive ride. The foam adapts to your stride, providing a great balance of support and flexibility and offers exceptional shock-absorbing properties. This will provide your feet with excellent comfort when you strike down, protecting your joints and preventing injuries. The foam midsole is long-lasting, to ensure you have a reliable shoe. A Meta-Rocker features in the midsole to increase running efficiency, designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique rocking chair effect to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off. This effect is further heightened by the 2mm stack increase from its predecessor. Completing the midsole is a rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame to cradle your foot for ultimate support and confidence.
Durabrasion Rubber Outsole
Designed to be durable and flex with your foot, the outsole of the Hoka Bondi 9 has been constructed using Durabrasion rubber. Placed strategically in high-wear areas such as the forefoot and heel, the rubber increases durability, resisting the traumas of heel strikes to bring you a long-lasting running buddy. The durable rubber outsole will keep you in firm control across varied terrains over a long period. Completing the outsole are flex grooves that encourage multi-directional movements.
