Matryx Upper

Showcasing a highly resistant upper, the Merrel MTL Adapt Matryx ensures protection from a variety of elements to make sure you reach your destination still swathed in dry comfort. The upper utilises Matryx , which is a high performance textile that is highly durable against possible bumps and snags while on unpredictable trails. Yarn threads have been individually coated in high-tenacity Kevlar to both improve durability while allowing air to freely enter the boots with ease. 3D print and TPU overlays feature on the upper in high-wear areas to provide increased durability and extend the life of the shoes. A padded collar ensures a snug and comfortable fit even on longer runs, while a breathable mesh lining keeps your feet feeling cool and dry throughout. Traditional laces that are 100% recycled offer a secure and adjustable fit that prevents in-shoe slippage from occurring, keeping you in control over the trails. The laces are kept in place and out of the way with an elastic lace keeper, and reflective details complete the upper, increasing your visibility in low-light conditions to ensure your safety on early morning or late evening runs.

FloatPro Foam Midsole

Within the midsole, Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam has been used to ensure a light, durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible, so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, securely holding the foot in place for smoother transitions and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material offers enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. Also featuring in the midsole, a 5% recycled PU footbed contributes to the sustainability of the shoe and enhances comfort underfoot.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Developed using a Vibram Megagrip outsole, the MTL Adapt Matryx provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear, wet or dry. Developed for slippery terrain, the extremely durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. Ensuring multi-directional grip, the outsole provides traction on uneven terrain and confident footing on various surfaces. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Completing the outsole are traction lugs that dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs can anchor the foot into the ground, securing you in place whilst forming a solid base to push off and shedding debris with each step.
