Breathable, Layered Mesh Upper

The Metcon 10 has received an updated upper, now using a layered mesh construction. Larger perforations in the fabric increase airflow, encouraging cool air to circulate while making it easier for built-up heat to escape, keeping your feet cool and comfortable. The new design increases durability, withstanding whatever training you put them through, while reducing the shoes' weight for a lighter feel. Nike has introduced a wider toe box, allowing your toes to splay when lifting heavy weights; they won't feel restrictive. This also helps improve balance throughout your heavy lifts. A new midfoot band has been added to secure your foot onto the footbed when you pull on the laces. This is combined with a sturdy heel cup that keeps your feet in place, allowing you to focus on your form rather than on shifting or slipping. A tough and sticky texture is strategically placed on the midfoot and toes, both high-wear areas, delivering game-changing grip and durability so you can tackle rope climbs with ease. On the medial side, a lighter, less bulky and more tuned rubber wrap has been used to reinforce the Metcon's suitability for high-intensity workouts, alongside a tough plastic heel clip. This resists abrasion while being more flexible, making wall sits, lifts, and lunges feel a little more comfortable. Finally, the shoes feature a lace-tuck system, keeping your laces in place and out of the way.

Nike ReactX Midsole

Providing you with soft, lightweight and durable foam that enhances underfoot comfort, the shoes utilise Nike ReactX, getting you even closer to the ground without sacrificing comfort or speed. This delivers feathery durability plus smooth responsiveness. ReactX foam reduces the midsoles' carbon footprint by at least 43% compared to previous Nike React foam, helping support the planet. The reactive nature of this clever midsole material absorbs impact and then expels it, giving a boost in cardio sessions. This energy-return technology reduces superfluous muscle power, diminishes fatigue and enhances performance, so you can train for longer. In addition, a HyperLift plate in the heel offers stability, perfect for tough workouts like split squats, deadlifts and other low-body exercises.

Full Rubber Outsole

Developed using a full rubber outsole, the Nike Metcon 10 receives a new traction pattern that provides a flat, sticky surface for lifting on even the sweatiest of surfaces. The pattern increases underfoot traction, providing a stable footing when moving. This is ideal for workouts, gym sessions, and classes where you typically make sharp, aggressive and lateral movements. Ensuring a strong, stable base, the outsole wraps even further around the midfoot, enhancing grip when climbing a rope and speed when sliding back down. The updated triangular tread with strategic cutouts, combined with the grooves, provides greater forefoot flexibility for a more natural and comfortable wear and training experience.
