Structured Mesh Upper

The Salomon Deepstone Women's Walking Shoe is constructed with a combination of breathable mesh and synthetic leather. Located on top of the upper is the Sensifit system which cradles the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, snug, and virtually customised fit all around the foot. The advanced tightening construction of the Sensifit overlap offers precise foot envelopment for better control. The semi-soft wings are linked to the chassis surrounding the foot which increases transmission. The breathable mesh allows hot, muggy air to escape and cool air to permeate, creating a cool and comfortable environment for your feet to thrive in. Protection is key while walking out on the trails, so the Deepstone Walking Shoes offer a protective heel cap for rearfoot stability and a protective rubber toe cap to enhance protection from loose or sharp rocks. The standard lacing system allows you to adjust the fit quickly and easily for maximum comfort.

EVA Midsole

Lined with an EVA shaped footbed, the shoe provides excellent cushioning with anatomically designed support. For additional comfort, an Ortholite sockliner has been used to create a cooler, drier, healthier and better-cushioned environment under the foot. The OrthoLite sockliner is combined with a specific Ortholite foam and an EVA heel cup, which won't break down or lose effectiveness over time. The EVA heel cups allow for better heel support and added cushioning. OrthoLite offers many features and benefit; the unique technology ensures that the sole insert retains more than 95% of its original thickness over a period of time. It also provides 95-100% constant breathability, allowing air circulation in the area of the insole, keeping your feet dry inside the shoe. This is accompanied by antibacterial properties, inhibiting the accumulation of bacteria and combatting foot odour. The unique structure of the foam used in manufacturing OrthoLite inserts creates a system for controlling excessive moisture by driving it away from your feet, so you stay extremely comfortable.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Delivering optimal traction on varied surfaces, the outsole uses the ideal combination of specialized rubbers for each specific use. With a mix of compound, lob geometry and density, it gives the shoes brilliant grip and durability, regardless of the terrain underneath. Utilising different combinations of harder, softer and grippier compounds, Salomon's outsole provides the perfect blend of grip and durability to cover a multitude of terrains. Designed with specifically positions forefoot flex grooves and self-cleaning multi-directional lugs, these outsoles are field-tested and proven to dynamically tackle rugged terrains.
