GORE-TEX Upper

Found within the upper of the ZG Trek is a GORE-TEX membrane that will guard against the entry of moisture. When exposed to moisture, the membrane will immediately work by blocking it from entering the inside of the boots. This will mean that any molecules will roll off the boot, ensuring a dry and comfortable feel on the inside. Despite sealing the moisture out, the membrane will still allow air to enter and exit through the upper of the boot. This will mean that you will always feel ventilated and comfortable, no matter how intense your activity has become. The surface of the ZG Trek is also has a water-resistant coating that will bead any surface moisture before wicking it away from it. The upper is designed for durability, able to stand up against all sorts of abuse placed upon it. The boots have a firm toe cap, as well as firm heel cup that will offer solid protection to any heavy contacts or forces placed against it. The lacing system runs from the forefoot all the way up to the ankle, which will keep you feeling secured and comfortable. The high-rise ankle is extremely soft and comfortable, also allowing a wide range of motion, meaning that you won't be hindered or prevented from making any movements in them. This will also block the entrance of dirt and debris. A padded tongue will sit comfortably on the ankle, completing the upper of the boot.

EVA Midsole

The EVA found in the midsole is multi-beneficial. It provides users with supreme protection, cushioning and lightweight durability. The bottom layer of the midsole absorbs shocks efficiently and effectively. This can be from heavy impacts when walking downhill, or from small sharp objects pressing against the sole. Towards the top, the EVA has more cushioning properties, making every step feel comfortable. Under high impact areas like the heel, there is an extra firm and thick layer, which will protect this vulnerable area from heavy contacts.

Vibram Salix Trek Outsole

Giving you that crucial grip between the rocky and uncertain terrain and the boot, the ZG Trek uses a Vibram Salx Trek outsole. The rubber used is able to grip onto a wide range of different surfaces, creating a solid base no matter what. This will give you the confidence to push on, safe in the knowledge that you are under control. The rubber itself is designed to stand up to abuse from below, so it will retain its grip and definition over a long period of time. The outsole also benefits from using multi-directional lugs and grooves, keeping you anchored in place in wet conditions.
