GORE-TEX Upper
The Scarpa Spin Infinity GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoe utilises a breathable mesh fabric covered with a three-dimensional outer cage in TPU heat-sealed for protection against abrasion. The mesh has micro-perforation to allow heat and vapour to escape, as well as prevent moisture build-up from within the shoes. These transport the moisture to the outside of the shoe, where it can dissipate, and dry quickly, keeping feet cool and comfortable. Additionally, the perforation allows for fresh air to assist your feet in staying cool, where airflow can circulate easily, therefore helping to avoid discomfort. This light, breathable construction is coupled with a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit lining which helps to maintain the fit of the shoe and comfortable characteristics, whilst also providing your feet with an exceptional layer of waterproofing. This waterproof membrane keeps feet dry, no matter the circumstances. The sock-like fit of this upper grips the foot firmly but gently for a comfortable feel that puts you totally in control. A traditional lacing system provides further security, anchoring the shoe to your foot for confident strides.
EVA Midsole
A compressed EVA platform resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for unpredictable trails and tough terrain. As well as this, a low-density EVA insert on the forefoot provides additional shock absorption whilst the TPU film ensures improved responsiveness and energy.
Vibram Megagrip Outsole
Developed using a Vibram Megagrip outsole, the Scarpa Spin GTX provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear. Developed for extremely slippery terrain, the extremely durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. Ensuring multi-directional grip, the outsole provides traction on varied terrain offering confident footing on varied terrain. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Completing the outsole are lugs that dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs are able to anchor the foot into the wet and muddy ground, securing you into place whilst also forming a solid base to push off from.
