ASICS Gel-Fortitude 6 Running Shoes
Significantly lighter than previous models, the ASICS Gel-Fortitude 6 features an improved upper design with 3M reflectivity a rearfoot and forefoot GEL cushioning system to help attenuate shock on impact.
Breathable Mesh Upper
Constructed using a mesh upper, the ASICS Gel-Fortitude Running Shoes encase each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. This aids moisture management by wicking sweat and excess moisture as it's produced and then transferring it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated, keeping your feet cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh upper creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Working to provide increased support are the overlays which ensure a secure and supportive fit whilst also adding to the overall durability of the shoe. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Solyte Midsole
Located in the midsole is Solyte, which is a lightweight EVA material that offers high bounce-back characteristics while decreasing midsole breakdown. Also included in the midsole construction of the Gel-Fortitude is Asics' Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning System. The cushioning systems are placed in key impact areas to work in conjunction with the midsole material to attenuate shock during impact and toe-off phases, allowing movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.
AHAR Outsole
The outsole is developed AHAR material (Asics High Abrasion Rubber) which is placed in critical areas offering exceptional durability. The sole of the shoe is equipped with the Guidance Line which is a synthetic insert which serves as a physical separation of the midsole and outsole which decouples the tooling and helps to produce a consistent load transfer at the propulsion stage. It works by influencing a consistent load and motion from heel-strike to toe-off. Integrating with the Guidance Line is the Trusstic System which is a plastic shank which channels energy to provide forward propulsion. By mirroring the functions of the foot's ligaments, it transforms the foot from a flexible structure, for shock absorption through the heel strike and mid-stance into a strong, firm lever to provide forward propulsion, helping the runner spring forward with every stride.
