The materials provide feet with constant cool, fresh air that flows around your feet, preventing them from becoming uncomfortable or too hot. TPU fabrics are super durable and reliable, providing long-lasting comfort. With abrasive resistance against bumps and scrapes across rock surfaces or bumpy sections of the trail. Keeping things snug and secure on trails, the materials are supportive and flexible, allowing natural, comfortable movement, whilst a 100% recycled, breathable mesh lining sits softly against your skin and keeps things fresh. Moisture-wicking properties keep feet comfortable by removing excess sweat and moisture, ensuring you stay dry, even during trickier periods. Treated with Cleansport NXT, the Nova 4s naturally reduces the build-up of unwanted odours, keeping feet smelling and feeling fresher on long journeys. Keeping you stable and secure across those unpredictable trails, the shoes feature a padded collar to prevent irritation during movement and a bellows tongue, which helps keep dirt and debris out. The recycled laces and webbing provide a more personalised, locked-in fit, reducing in-shoe slipping for confident strides. Finally, the elastic lace keeper stashes the laces neatly, preventing them from untying.

For soft, reliable comfort, the Nova 4 utilises a FloatPro foam midsole compound to keep feet bouncy and feeling fresh from start to finish. The medium-density midsole is super versatile and delivers long-lasting lightweight cushioning with excellent energy return for tackling those longer-distance adventures. Additionally, the midsole has shock-absorbing properties to reduce impact from striking down on tricky, uneven terrain and help reduce the risks of injury. Merrell's signature FLEXconnect technology has been used in the midsole to ensure enhanced ground connection. FLEXconnect's dual-directional flex grooves ensure a secure fit and a natural and serious grip to deliver agility and stability on any terrain. Working alongside this, the midsole features a 50% recycled removable EVA foam footbed for added cushioning.
