Nike Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX Women's Trail Running Shoes
The winterized Pegasus Trail 5 provides wet-weather protection for trail running. A waterproof GORE-TEX upper, an all-terrain outsole and reflective details help you comfortably take on the elements.
GORE-TEX Upper
Providing your feet with a constant supply of airflow and exceptional waterproof protection, the Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX Trail Shoes utilise a breathable GORE-TEX upper. The GORE-TEX materials provide optimum protection on the trails by protecting your feet from rain and moisture in poor, changing weather, including snowy conditions. This works alongside the 3D Printed Toe Cap which also works to keep water out, alongside protecting your toes from possible bumps and snags while on unpredictable trails. To block dirt and debris from entering the shoe, a high ankle cuff has been added to prevent dirt and debris from entering while also adding extra support around the ankle. On the heel a pull tab has been included to provide easy assistance while slipping into the shoes. To secure the fit, a traditional lacing system has been used to lock the midfoot down in a snug fit. Finally, reflective detailing has been added to improve visibility in low light conditions, keeping you on the trail well into dusk.
ReactX Midsole
Providing you with high levels of energy return, yet with a lowered carbon footprint, the Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX utilises a ReactX midsole. For outstanding cushioning and underfoot comfort, the ReactX is a soft, lightweight and durable foam that cushions every stride, improving speed and performance. It is also 13% more responsive than previous React technology. Propelling you forward on your trail run, the midsole has outstanding energy return, keeping you comfortable on the changing terrains and helping to reduce fatigue while enhancing performance. Not only does the midsole reduce fatigue and enhance performance, but it also minimises unnecessary muscle strain, allowing you to work for longer periods. The foam reduces the carbon footprint of the midsole by around 43% compared to the previous React foam included in the Pegasus Trail 4s, therefore helping to support the planet.
ATC Outsole
The ReactX Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX has a Nike Trail ATC outsole, making it a perfect all-terrain running companion. The versatile outsole ensures outstanding grip and traction on a variety of surfaces, including wet or dry weather, while wrapping around the front of the shoes to optimise the durability and longevity, keeping you confident on the trail. Utilising a generative traction pattern, the shoes have optimised grip when traversing more technical trail runs; however, they also maintain a smooth ride on road conditions.
